Wright Aeronautical
Wright Aeronautical was an aviation venture of the Wright Brothers.
Their first company, Wright & Co was formed in 1909. It merged with Martin in 1916 to form Wright-Martin, but Glenn Martin resigned in 1917. The company was renamed Wright Aeronautical in 1919.
The best engineers left in 1924 to transform Pratt & Whitney into an aircraft company.
Wright Aeronautical merged in 1929 into the Curtiss-Wright Corporation.
